MEET THE TEAM

Michael Worthington has had more than 25 years experience in the horticulture/fresh produce industry with senior management roles in vertically-integrated businesses. From 2009 to 2016, he was Chief Executive Officer of PMA Australia-New Zealand Limited, the first global affiliate of PMA (Produce Marketing Association).

Richard Bennett works with companies across the fresh produce supply chain to resolve issues and to implement best practices in food safety, science and technology. This includes product identification and traceability, ethical trade, environmental management, incident management and food standards. He leads technology initiatives in Australia and New Zealand for both PMA and the Fresh Produce Safety Centre. He has worked in the nursery, seed, fruit processing and fresh fruit sectors, focusing on quality assurance and food safety, for 20 years.

Tristan Kitchener is an independent consultant in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods sector, providing advice and support along the grocery value chain, from retailers through to manufacturers and growers. Previously, Tristan was the Group Merchandise Manager, Fresh Produce, at Coles Supermarkets (2005-09), and before coming to Australia held a number of commercial and technical roles at Sainsbury’s Supermarkets in the UK (1997-2004).

Marion Bray runs her own food safety and quality systems consulting business, and has more than 15 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance industry. Previously, Marion was the Quality Program Manager for Coles Supermarkets from 2010-15, and held a number of prior roles during her tenure at Coles including Supplier and Product Quality Manager and Supplier Performance Manager.

Belinda Millard brings more than 20 years experience in the Quality Assurance industry (including Supplier Approval Manager in the Group Quality Technical Services Team for Australia’s major retailer, Woolworths Limited). Belinda is a passionate and enthusiastic professional, with specific focus on food safety and social compliance. Belinda is also Key Account Manager – Oceania for the non for profit, food safety & sustainability organisation GLOBALG.A.P.
